No. Polished Concrete is a mechanical process where we use diamond-abrasive pads to grind and hone your actual concrete to a natural shine. There is no topical film or "coating" to peel or flake, making it the most durable and low-maintenance option available.
Metallic and Reflector flooring utilize pearlescent and light-reflective nanoparticles suspended in clear resin. During installation, we use specialized techniques to "flow" the pigment, creating three-dimensional, marbled effects that mimic liquid metal or natural stone. No two floors are ever exactly alike.
Because Concrete Staining is translucent (like a wood stain), it enhances the natural character of the concrete rather than hiding it. If your floor has significant patching or discoloration, we may recommend a metallic coating or a full-chip polyaspartic system for better coverage.
Maintenance is incredibly simple. For all our systems—from Stained Concrete to Epoxy—all you typically need is a soft-bristled broom or a microfiber dust mop. For a deeper clean, a pH-neutral cleaner and water will keep the surface looking new. You never have to wax or strip these floors.
Safety is our priority. While high-gloss finishes like Metallic Flooring or Polished Concrete can be slick when wet, we can incorporate anti-slip additives (fine aggregates) into the final topcoat to provide extra traction without sacrificing the visual appeal.
It depends on the system. Polyaspartic coatings can often be completed in a single day. Polished Concrete or Metallic Flooring typically takes 2 to 3 days due to the multi-stage grinding or artistic layering required.
